Welcome to the Complex Lattices Team lead by Dr. Elmar Haller. We are part of the Experimental Quantum Optics and Photonics Group (EQOP) at Strathclyde University. Our goal is to experimentally investigate counterintuitive and intriguing phenomena of quantum physics in lattice potentials. Current projects study questions of matter-wave transport and quantum phase transitions in optical lattices.
We are a group of dedicated students and postgraduate researchers. Our experimental setup uses ultracold cesium atoms, which are close to absolute zero temperature, and optical lattice potentials. Please have a look at our projects in the blog. If you want to know more or if you want to join the team, please feel free to contact Dr. Haller.
