Research Associate studying quantum simulation with ultracold atoms in optical lattices
We have an open post-doc position in our team, for research on ultracold atoms in optical lattices. We use a quantum-gas microscope to probe the dynamics of ultracold fermions at the single-atom level. Funded by the EPSRC Programme Grant QQQS, we will study strongly correlated fermionic quantum systems in tailored light potentials and novel lattice geometries, such as chains of coupled tweezers, or a Lieb lattice, with properties such as flat bands, localization and edge states.
